Icky Doo Dah Workshops in Jersey Schools!

Jersey was a brilliant trip, working in 4 primary schools in 4 very busy days. It was great fun working in St. Mary’s Primary, St. Clements Primary, FCJ School and Grouville Primary School. The children listened very well during my assembly and produced some very imaginative and beautiful drawings of Icky Doo Dah in the class sessions through the day. Well done! I have set up gallery pages on this website to showcase their brilliant illustrations!

My father, the author of the Mokee Joe series was also on Jersey with my mum working in secondary schools. This time they were promoting a scary book of ten short stories called Ten O’Clock Caller. The amazing illustrator Paul Bryn Davies created the striking cover for this book. I did the spooky black and white illustrations throughout the book. It was great fun working with mum and dad on the book and even better to spend time as a family together on Jersey!

A big thank you to Cathy and Moi from Jersey libraries who kindly helped organise our trip. I am already planning my next trip to Jersey for later this academic year. I hope the weather will be as amazing as during my visit in June!
